The main issue here is about gun ownership. Most thugs, area boys, thieves, armed robbers and cultist in Nigeria all have guns. We the 99% moral majority are living at their mercy. Just like the GSM, I thing if gun ownership is liberalised it will reduce crime and bravado in Nigeria.
