Puff Daddy: Obama Should Unapologetically Spend Billions On Black People

Puff Daddy: Obama Should Unapologetically Spend Billions On Black People

Reported by Liku Zelleke
Hip hop superstar and media boss Puff Daddy was out and about promoting his new album, “MMM”, and stopped by at New York City’s Hot 97 for an interview.
But as anyone who’s been following Puff Daddy through the years might know, he has never been known for being predictable and he didn’t disappoint at this interview either.
The conversation soon moved from music to politics and zeroed in on the topic of President Obama and how he should “pay back” the community that put him in the White House.
“We got Obama into office, the give back, the deal, where are the things in our community that have gotten drastically better?” Puff Daddy asked.
He mentioned that he had helped President Obama get elected with his “Vote Or Die” campaign and that he felt it was all a sham because the President hadn’t done enough to pay the favor back to the Black community.
He added, “The hugest group of people that get you into office, you have to change their lives for the better. Pick a side, because they got you into office. And if that side just happens to be black people, and you’re black, you still have to do what’s fair.”
Puff Daddy went on to add that it was what organizations like the National Rifle Association, American Association of Retired Persons and “Jewish people” were doing – lobbying to get what they wanted.
“Black people and people of color are the strongest,” he said, “and we let it go down.”
The conversation then moved on to whether or not President Obama needed to create more jobs for Black people, but Puff Daddy didn’t quite exactly agree with that, opting instead for him to give billions of dollars to Black community instead – “unapologetically”.
“No, no, no, no but it’s like direct aid: unapologetically sending direct aid to black communities. Like, like let’s not try to hide it. Unapologetically spend billions of dollars to uplift black communities and say black people. Let’s stop skirting around everything it is,” he said.
Puff Daddy made sure it was known that he wasn’t “going after Obama” but that he believed the President should give “nice parting gifts” to Black people before he leaves the White House.
