Wonders they say shall never end. Yesterday the 10th of July 2012 political stakeholders in Edo State were invited to a meeting with the Director of the department of State Security. The meeting was very cordial and issues relating to the elections were discussed. Among the issues raised was the presence of militants in Edo State. That they were driving around in black jeeps and with hoods over their heads. The director informed the stakeholders that those people were not militants but officers of his department who were deployed to Edo State for the elections. Please go out on Saturday and vote in the next governor of the state, Chief Solomon Edebiri, JP, MON
Yesterday, Edo State Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole took the Attorney General of Nigeria to task over the murder of his principal private secretary, Mr Olayinde. The governor accuse the Attorney general of covering up unprofessional conduct by the police. He said the Edo State Police was required by law to forward their investigation to the Edo State public defenders office not to the Federal public defenders. The confrontation took place at the presidential villa where Comrade Adams confronted the attorney. Also it was learnt that the Federal Government through the department of Immigration has deported an Israeli officer of the Reynolds Construction Company, RCC back to Israel. He offence we heard was that he told the Minister of Information the truth about 5 junction during the good governance tour. They said he was asked which government was constructing the round about at 5 junction at Uselu? The man said it was being done by Edo State Government while the main road is been done by the Federal government. The assertion was said to have pissed off the minister of works and his information contapart.

A few days back, the Sultan of Sokoto demanded that the Federal Government of Nigeria grants amnesty to the Boko Haram set up in the Northern part of the country. Just this afternoon, the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said his government cannot grant amnesty to an invisible group. I join millions of Nigerians to congratulate the President on his BOLD move. He has dared those devilsh people, let them go ahead and do their worst. They were talking about been compensated for killing innocent Christians in their churches. They want to be compensated for destroying the little that was let of the economy of the North. They have taking the region backward to about 60 years behind the Southern part of the country. How can they ask to be compensatd
Nigeria is a very great country. I have had the opportunity to transverse the length and breadth of this country and my conclusion is that God has blessed this country and that Nigeria will become a very great nation. You ask me why I am coming to this conclusion? The indices are so glaring that you can even feel it. I have had the opportunity to travel by road in great countries like the United states, Mexico through Panama down to Brasil and in China. Here in Nigeria the roads are getting better, the hotels are also getting better and affordable you can get a decent air-conditioned room for #4,000.00 or say $25.00 a night. The topography i.e the scenery if you like nature is naturally very classic and beautiful. While in Makurdi I visited several tourist attraction but the one that real took my mind away was the scenery at the university of Agriculture in Makurdi. Benue State proud herself as the food basket of the nation and it is very reflective in the cost of foodstuff. For example I bought 36 tubers of yams big ones too for just #1,500.00, I bought a big basket of oranges and guava for #200.00 each. I intend to share all among my neighbours when /i get back. Although the Nigerian driver is always in a hurry, I have learnt to always be very carefull and drive defensively.

My response to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the governor of Edo State on theappointment of a special adviser from the Igbo stock...... Comrade has
done well for his political career and his political future. The question that
is begging for answer is that how many Edo Son or Daughter has even a common
shop in all the five states of the east? How many people of another tribe has any
of thsoe state appointed? Comrade is making a mockery of the mandate from Edo
people. More insults to the Edo people will follow. I dey cry for my people.
I arrived Makurdi, Benue State two days back. The city is very clean and the people are very friendly. One major problem here is that there is no electricity. The Electric company only supply light at night. The lack of electricity is really having a major effect on the economy of the State. Food is abundance here and very cheap. I will be going back to my beautiful city of Benin in a few days. The saying of the Elders is that you will not value what you have until you see how others live. I can not imaging when last NEPA or PHCN blatantly take light for 14 hours straight for say two weeks. Na wao. The drive from Benin City to Makurdi took 8.5 hours. The road is great but the Otukpo area in under repairs. Beautiful scenery.

Yesterday, the Oba of Benin meant with all Professor of Benin extractions to look at the problem at the University of Benin among the Benins. As you are all aware the current VC Prof Osayuki Oshodin is accused of not carrying the Benin community along. He is believed to be paving way for a non Benin to take over from him. When he is the first beneficiary of the struggle of the Benins at that university. How can anyone recommend such a person for the leadership of Benins.

A follow up on our discussion ..... The title, the Esama of Benin is a highly respected and reverend title in Benin Kingdom. It is bestowed on influential sons of Benin Kingdom and there is only one Esama at a time. Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion was made the Esama of Benin Kingdom by the highly respected Oba of Benin, Oba Akenzua 11 of blessed memory. Oba Akenzua you will recall is the father of the present Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa of Benin.
My response to Prince Stephen Obakpee on the issue of Igbinedion
collecting money from farmers in Okada..... @ Prince Stephen Obakpee my brother let me remind you of
some very salient point here. Chief Igbinedion is a Benin man and a wise one at
that. When money had REAL value he invested in many interest and protected them
very well. He became a big palm farm owner in Ovia North East. I am very sure
that all his landed property in Edo State are well covered with C of O issued
by his son Lucky Igbinedion including this said farm land. His action has kept
the yoruba farmers at bay and protected the long term interest of the Benins.
He has done well. He collects rent from those Farmers because they are his
tenants. Personal issue like likeness and hatred should not becloud our
analysis especially when it comes to the Benin Nation.
