Fuel scarcity hits Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria

For the past two weeks motorist in the Ancient City of Benin in Edo State of Nigerian has been experiencing fuel scarcity. The situation is so bad that the few petrol station that are selling fuel has long car ques of about 200 to 300 vehicles. As a ressult fuel is now selling for N170,00 a litre while the black (white) market is triving.

News from Ikpoba-Okha LGA. Edo State

As the people were still celebrating the victory of Comrade Adams Oshiomohle at the electoral tribunal which decleared him the elected Governor of Edo State and waitng for the court of Appeal to give its final verdict on the Guber elections, the Action Congress AC (Political Party) Local Government Chairman in Ikpoba-okha LGA, Edo State, Captain Micheal Osagiede died on sunday 6th April, 2008. He died after a potracted illness. He was of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 1999 to 2006 and decamped to AC in 2007. He is survived by wife and children. May his soul rest in peace.
