Comrade Adams Oshiomhole the governor of Edo State yesterday won a judgement at the Supreme court of Nigeria. He had appealed against a judgement of an appeal court, a lower court in our judiciary,  in the election tribunal case against General Charles Airhiavbere. The issue in contention was that Comrade Adams did not have the required qualification for the office of the governor. But in filing his case, General Airhiavbe's lawyer knowingly refused or forgot to ask for the disqualification of Comrade Adams based on non qualification on the original writ. For that the court agreed with Comrade Adams lawyers that you cannot be granted what you did not ask for. I am not a lawyer but have seen lawyers filing papers in court. I know that they normally ask for as many as things as possible, some relevant and others not. Even the State PDP  that is General Airhiavbere party looked at the writ and withdrew from the case. In the Judgement, the Judge said that what the lawyer did was unforgivable. The question is did they set up General Airhavbere to fail right from the beginning? Was this a mafia thing? Were they just running the race? Is it not possible for a lawyer to amend his/her writ after a case has started in the court?

This is my response to Mr Akin on Edo Political Forum on gun ownership....@ Akin Etin- Ojehomon Sr my dream is to arm every Nigerian. According to Smith and Wesson an America gun manufacturers, which said in an advert in the early '50s, that God made man in his own image but that Smith and Wesson made them equal. The question now is that how do guns make men equal?
