Nigerian Soldier beat up a Police woman in the street of Benin City.

Yesterday, March 18, 2014 around 3pm @ the Mega Petrol Station, Omoruyi street @ Sapele Road, just by Mr Biggs. A Hausa Soldier driving a coaster bus conveying what looks like military personnel im mufti, came down from his buses that he parked in the middle of the road and beat up a Police Woman who was controlling the traffic. He slapped her, tore her head open with his belt. I came down from my car and accosted the soldier, The women in the bus were siding with the driver. In my anger I asked him if he could beat up a muslim woman like that? As the argument went on the station DPO @ Adesuwa Police station came in, i went to park my car before I came back they had all cleared the scene. This morning I went back to see the DPO but they said he was on official assignment. I told his deputy that there is need for the police woman & the DPO to make a written report to the Defence Hqters and other military post around here. If this matter is not treated properly the soldier would be tempted to assault another person again. I told them that when we need them to fight Boko Harran he is on the street beaing up a uniformed Policewoman serving the nation.

Margaret Obi @Osbert.Good job.Thank you very much.I tot it was just a joke.Hope the uniformed woman was treated? That's the Nigeria we live in.Soldiers are not supposed to be on the streets when there is no war.IT IS WELL

Agbonlahor Felix Osaruyi If we continue to resist illegality like this Nigeria will become a great nation
March 18

Osbert Agho @ Osagie Idahosa she is not a Yellow Fever oh, she is a sergent in regular Police Force but on a traffic beat.

Lawani Israel hat is real great of you,you know your right,we have to educate our people to know their right
March 18

Osasumwen Osaghae Thanks for awakening the will to protect rights. For far too long, we have endured rule by brutish force and utter lawlessness. Be careful though. Those guys are cruel.
March 18

Ebohon Anslem D greatest problem we hv now is dat most of dis Muslim soldiers are taking side with dial Boko Haram brothers. Illiteracy is another factor, he does't know what it is to work with sister organizations. He is a crude soldier, he needs to b refined.
March 18

Rita Ebiuwa God bless u sir

Osbert Agho @Osasumwen Osaghae, when you demonstrate to them that you have CONQUERED the fear of death. Both by the way you approach and speak to them, most times they will leave you alone. You must make sure they know subliminally that if they touch you it will be @ a grave cost to them both physically & otherwise.

Oshioke Mamudu Pa Osbert God Bless You.
March 18

Ebohon Anslem It is not his fault, in d first place, soldiers ar supposed to b in d bush nd not in d town. He thought his primary duty is to fight Police.
March 18

Osagie Osaretin Abudu Is he an hausa soldier or a nagerian soldier? Osahon, are u saying hausa soldier(s) hasnt died in d insurgens?
March 18

Mandy Okundaye Good job!
March 18

Ernest Ugiagbe that soldier could be a member of the boko haram sha guys be at alart
March 18

Samuel Olorunfemi I must commend your effort. Sad that ordinarily you would see Police men around that area. less than 300meters from there is the state police headquarters.Hmmm.they are probably waiting for her to come report first.
March 18

Osbert Agho @Osagie Osaretin Abudu he is an Hausa soldier. If he was a Nigerian soldier he would have known that the police woman was first a fellow Nigerian and in the service of her nation. He would not dare to do that to an hausa/muslim woman. It is his likes that are arming the boko haran and cattle rearers.

Imomoh Newton I wil publish an article on dis matter! Should i?

Emmanuel Erhabor-Bello Nice Job Osbert, I salute ur courage. Did u by chance get the vehicle's license plate number?
That would have made the issue much easier.
March 18

Osbert Agho The Police DPO & other officers would have gotten those info. But I will check them again 2moro.
March 18

Osayawe Ogieva Good and courageous work. Thanks for standing up for the rule of law and against lawlessness
March 18

Ebegue Ogiamien Seriously?
March 18

Osbert Agho Mercy Eseigbe & Efe Aisuen you may not have read my comment. The incident happened why I were in d mega station traffic going towards Sapele while thr Army vehicle was driving towards the ring road, so I was at a vantage point and I saw what happened from the start. I left my car on the road and ran towards them. I succeeded in rescue the woman from him. After he tore up her head she held his t!shirt and blood was all over the place. When others, police & good spirited people were attracted to the scene, they now ask that I should go & move my cars as it gas worsen the traffic hold up. First, my family has produced two retired Major Generals, Colonels and several ranks. I grew up around soldiers and very about to relate with them. I am going to see the DPO again this morning, then I will go to the commander of 4 brigade and the Director of SSS. I am going to encourage and support the Police woman to go to court.

Afekhafe Ologun Naija for u

Nosa Igbinedion I think this is another clarion call to EPF members to stand up and be counted. Do whatever you can in your own little way to help the police woman get justice. That animal in uniform deserves to be in jail.

kosun Paul Itua Nice one bro U try

Surv Roland Osahon Erhabor Good for nothing Army officer. Find out, he has no good training. Because he good avenues to seek redress if the police has anything against him. Let them teach this aboki army man lesson on how to behave.

Apologun Ganiu Omeiza Osbert you are patriotic Nigerian. Suppose we all could stand up in the face of illegality and oppression like you did, Nigeria would have been a better place. Illiteracy and and lack of awareness has led to the advancement of ills in the country. An eye opener and clarion call for all of us. Keep it up bro. Welldone!

Osbert Agho Thanks everyone for your kind words & encouragement. It spured me on. This morning I meant with the DPO on Mr O:U Francis, a very refined & uncommon policeman. A man full of wisdom. We tabled the all the issues involved including the Police/Army relationship. He said they have a back door channel which they have kick started. He begged that we should let them take it to a conclusion. He said the soldiers are from S & T. That they stole the police woman's phone too.

Sureboy Uzzi I greet you sir for ur courage. If every one have dis courage in 9ja things will change.

Surv Roland Osahon Erhabor Why back door treatment? How will others learn their lessons? Is the warden not married? Is she from Edo state? How do we cover up for cultural implication of the treatment he met on this dedicated and humble warden? Should that be overlooked too, cos of religious belief?

Nosa Igbinedion Oga Surv Roland Osahon Erhabor , never provoke sir. The back door channel is only a diplomatic means used by the forces to deal with inter force problems. It will not ( hopefully) diminish the severity of the punishment to be suffered by the erring SOJA ( a beast). Wetin we bloody civilians sabi sef. Thanks sir osbert. As we speak, I can bet my last kobo that the idiot is cooling his heels in the guard room.

Surv Roland Osahon Erhabor @Nosa, if that will served our purpose, that will be alright with us, if not........... Thanks.

Prince Raf I greet u for a job well done sir

Mazi Arinze E Arinze This is definitely a right step in the right direction..... Its high time we stand up for what is RIGHT no matter whose ox is gored....Revolution is the sure answer; it begins with you and i....We are done being tossed around!

Priscy Omon Hummmm i just fill lik crying as i read evrytg, Hai! women don suffa sha. God wil purnish dt man so tey say na woman pis e go drink b4 e go surviv dis life. Tanks Sir Osbert, God will bless you for fightg for our kind dt ar weak in strent. If 2say na man lik am e for no try am

Franklin Eshemokhai @Sir Osbert, if it is still necessary, i cud give u the number of my friend a major in Snd T if that wud help, he is a gentleman

Osas Ayezuma So the police woman wasn't on national assignment, that DPO should be questioned, outside this country, Police have more value service than soldiers.

Ebohon Anslem Roland Osahon Erhabor, he is not an Army, he is a Soldier. An officer won't do that.

Ebohon Anslem Osahon Osaretin Abudu, So u ar not aware that we now have Islamic Soldiers and Nigeria Soldiers, Go nd see what is happening in Jos, Go to Maiduguri nd see what is going on, l came from there recently.

Osbert Agho @ Franklin Eshemokhai my brother thank you for the offer. His GSM will not be necessary anyway thanks. My advice to parents and adults, pls send your kids & wards to learn some martial arts. It will not only keep them busy during holidays but it will empower them for the rest of their life. It is called life long skills. Imagine if that police woman was a black belt? The story would be different.

Surv Roland Osahon Erhabor @Osbert, will that not encourage more Boko here?
